New York designer Adam Kimmel’s Marlboro Country-inspired spring/summer 2010 collection continues to generate a growing influence on glossy fashion editorials. Dunhill nodded towards cowboy styling for the city man in the autumn/winter 2010 show, slinging sheepskin ranch coats over tailored suits accessorised with tan leather belts and pouches. Outside of the catwalks it’s worth noting that luxury menswear luminaries Tom Ford and Ralph Lauren both own and frequently inhabit their own ranches…

Personally, I’ve always had a hankering for a good poncho…

of course there’s nothing better than a hot chick in a poncho and toting a gun

Ms. Welch …

Americana furniture

John Houshmand‘s tables mix hardwoods with glass, bronze and steel. Houshmand, a musician, sculptor, and contractor, opened a Tribeca storefront to showcase his line of furniture made from large pieces of American hardwoods (maple, cherry, elm, black walnut, and mulberry) in combination with glass and steel. Houshmand sources the woods from his Delaware County farm, from other local farmers—and sometimes even by tracking down the rightful owners of trees fallen by the roadside. The resulting designs are simple, sophisticated, and entirely handmade on Houshmand’s farm. Beautiful.
